TECHNOLOGIES

Digital Radiography

Our practice is fully equipped with digital X-ray equipment:

  • Intra-oral X-ray machine with exceptional image quality

  • Panoramic X-ray unit for viewing the entire mouth in one shot

  • A Conebeam radiology device focusing in particular on mineralized tissues (teeth, cartilage, bone)

These advanced technologies have several advantages:

  • increased accuracy of images

  • instant availability of images

  • easy archiving in the patient's file

  • sharing with the orthodontist

  • less radiation than conventional radiography

  • more ecological because it generates no waste unlike x-ray films

Panoramic Radiography

The cabinet is equipped with a digital panoramic radiography.

The panoramic radio makes it possible to visualize on the same overall picture the dental arches, the maxillae, the lower parts of the nasal fossae, the articulations and the maxillary sinuses.

It highlights the lesions of the teeth and adjacent tissues and is used to diagnose numerous pathologies: infections, fractures of the jaws, cysts and granulomas in the roots of the teeth, and certain bone diseases.

A dental panoramic is also performed to evaluate the positioning and evolution of the wisdom teeth, the possible bone loss, or to visualize all the teeth germs in the child. Moreover, it is also useful for deciding the correctness of implant placement. In this case, it will be completed by a 3D radiography (Conebeam).

3D Radiography - Conebeam

Our cabinet is equipped with a latest generation Sorodex-Kavo Conebeam (or digital cone-beam computed tomography).

This highly evolved radiographic imaging equipment provides a clear and reliable three-dimensional image while limiting the dose of radiation to which the patient is exposed.

This tool allows accurate visualization of teeth, bone volumes and anatomical obstacles (nerves ...).

Thus it is an indispensable tool for screening (infectious centers), for diagnosis and for the study before the implementation of the implants.

Combined with 3D implant planning software, it allows us to virtually preview the procedure before programming it with you.

Sterilization and Tracability

1) Sterilization

Health safety is a paramount concern for our entire team.

It revolves around 4 topics:

  • the sterilization of any instrument used in the mouth (probe, mirror ...) according to a strict protocol: (a) decontamination, thermal pre-disinfection at 90 ° C, drying, packaging in sachets, then sterilization with saturated water vapor with a thermal plateau at 134 ° C for 18min. We use a class-B autoclave of the latest generation with sterilization cycle recording (according to EN 13060).

  • cleaning and disinfecting medical devices such as work surfaces and the dental chair with a hospital disinfectant-disinfectant

  • external and internal disinfection of rotating equipment (turbines, etc.) after each use using a WH Assistina

  • sorting and disposal of healthcare waste at risk of infection, that is, objects and materials soiled by blood and body fluids such as disposable equipment (cotton, compresses, paper tips, saliva aspirations) disposable, gloves, sutures, ..). They are collected in specific containers in order to be incinerated under control and thus respect the environment

It should be noted that the design of our surgical block dedicated to implantology and oral surgeries allows it to be completely cleaned and sanitized before each operation.

2) Traceability

Each bag of sterilized instruments has a barcode label showing the current date and the batch number corresponding to the sterilization cycle number of the autoclave.

When used, these labels will then be taken off the bags, scanned and archived in the patient's file.
